Travel Grants for Conferences

If you are receiving travel grants from multiple sources, you must communicate with each office about all sources of funding so that the offices can coordinate on a single expense report in the Concur Travel & Expense System. Failure to communicate about all funding sources will compromise your eligibility. Submit your packet with all receipts and documentation to your department first, then to the A&S-PBC, A&S-GSO, and finally the GPSG (depending on applicability).

A&S-PBC $600 Travel Fund

Travel grants of $600 are available to Dietrich School graduate students who are presenting at conferences and professional meetings. Please refer to the eligibility requirements and application. When you print your application, please do not print on both sides of the paper. For questions that are not addressed by these materials, contact Katelyn White prior to travel.

Arts and Sciences Graduate Student Organization Travel Grants

The A&S-GSO sponsors grants for travel to an academic conference to present a paper or a poster, or to participate in an interactive workshop, or to attend a job talk/interview at a conference (for doctoral students only). To be eligible you must be enrolled as a Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences graduate student at the time of your travel. Details and contact information are available on the A&S-GSO Web site.  A&S-GSO grants require pre-approval.

Graduate and Professional Student Government Travel Grants

GPSG Travel Grants were established in 1993 to provide financial assistance to graduate and professional students at the University of Pittsburgh who are participating in academic or professional conferences. Applicants must currently be enrolled as a student in a graduate or professional program at the University of Pittsburgh. Details are available on the GPSG Web site.  GPSG Travel Grants require preapproval.
